The Human Rights Law Network is a collective of Indian lawyers and social activists who provide legal support to the vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of society.

About the Opportunity

Internship applications are invited from law students currently situated in Maharashtra for the Maharashtra office of Human Rights Law Network in Mumbai.

Eligibility

  • Law students currently situated in Maharashtra

  • Enthusiastic people committed to human rights, with a willingness to interact with others, and increase their hands-on experience of social and legal issues

  • They should have good research, writing, and communications skills, as well as showing an ability to meet tight deadlines

A minimum commitment of three months for international interns and one month for national interns who will work with an advocate or a social worker. Interns are expected to show professionalism while performing their tasks and produce a report at the end of their assignment.

How to Apply?

Students must download the internship form from the website (link at the end of this post) and send it along with CV and a writing sample to internships.mumbai@gmail.com. The subject line of the email must, strictly, be ‘Internship for Mumbai Office (Month)’. Some local travel within the district, if convenient, may be required.

Stipend

This is an unpaid internship and any travelling expense related to organisation’s work will be reimbursed.
