About Rayat educational & research trust
Established in 2001, Rayat Educational & Research Trust set up a Group of Institutions that has emerged as a premier destination for professional education in the north India. The Trust is running two educational campuses, one near Ropar and another at Patiala. Both the campuses i.e. Rayat Group of Institutions (RGI) Ropar campus and Rayat Group of Institutions (RGI) Patiala Campus are institutions of excellence known for a culture of academic brilliance and research.
Rayat College of Law, established in 2004, is housed in an independent building at the RGI Ropar Campus. The College is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh and the courses are approved by the BCI. Equipped with infrastructure including Moot Court, state-of the-art Library and Computer Lab with 24 hrs internet facility, wi-fi Campus the College provides an excellent environment for learning.
About the Fest
Rayat College of Law (RCL), Railmajra affiliated with Panjab University Chandigarh is organizing the 2nd National Law Fest. The College has successfully organized three Inter-College Law Fests in the past.
This 2nd Nation Law fest is one of its Kinds, this Initiative of RCL is aimed to meliorate the Skills of Students aspiring to join the legal Profession as well as showcase the Practical aspect of law.
Client Counseling
- It shall be open only to Law students (Integrated LLB/LLB/LLM)
- Total 24 teams of counselors (it may be extended as per discretion of the organizers)
- Participation will be first cum first serve.
- The Confirmation will be received by Mail.
- After the Registration and Confirmation, the counselors shall be provided with Codes.
- The registration shall be done by filling a Google Form.
- The registration fee is ₹2000/- for Councilors, and ₹100/- for Client participating in the Event. Please note that it is mandatory to attach a scanned copy of the transaction receipt or a screenshot of the same [The file shall be attached with the details in the Google form]
- Cash prize and certificates shall be awarded.
- Multiple Participations is allowed from an institution.
- All the Participants will get Certificate for Participation, the Winners will be provided with Merit Certificate.

- Winner team: Cash Prize ₹7100/- Trophy and Certificate
- Runner-up team: Cash Prize ₹5100/- Trophy and Certificate.
- Best Client: Cash Prize ₹ 1100/- Trophy and Certificate
- Registration Amount: ₹2000/- Per Counselor Team

Law Quizzes
Rules for law quiz
- Each Team shall comprise of solo participant.
- The preliminary round shall be in the written form.
- The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, true/false statements, specific answer based etc.
- Top 10 Team Scoring the highest marks in the Screening Round shall qualify for the Final Round.
- Quiz will cover topics related to: Constitution Law and Legal Current affair
- The quiz shall be conducted within a span of 2 hours.
- Multiple Participations is allowed from an institution.
Eligibility
- The competition is open to all the students pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s/PG degree/ LL.B 5 year Integrated , LL.B 3 year or Certificate course from any University/College/Institute.
- No restriction on the number of entries from one University/College/Institute.

- Winner team: Cash Prize ₹2500/- Trophy and Certificate
- Runner-up team: Cash Prize ₹1500/- Trophy and Certificate.
- Registration Amount: ₹500/-(single author)
- ₹700/- (co- author)

Moot Proposition Writing
Eligibility and general rules:
- The Competition shall be open for the students currently pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree in law i.e. 3-Year LL.B. course or 5-Year LL.B. course from any recognized university/school.
- Individual participation as well as participation in a team of two i.e. co-authorships is allowed.
- Multiple Participations is allowed from an institution.
- The theme of the competition shall either be Criminal law or Family Law.
- Time limit: 1 Hour.

- Runner-up team: Cash Prize ₹1500/- Trophy and Certificate.

Bollywood Trivia
Rules and Regulations
- This quiz is open to anyone with a zeal for Bollywood Movies.
- Each team can have a maximum of two members. No person can be part of more than one team.
- Teams who want to participate can register themselves
- If the number of teams is more than expected, a written elimination quiz can be conducted subject to the decision of organizers.
- First round will contain 20 questions and the second round will contain 30 questions.
- There is only one correct answer for each question.
- In case of a tie, there will a tie-breaker question for each round.
- Decision of the organizers will be final and binding.
- Each round will be an elimination round and the top 5 teams from round 1 will move to round 2.

- Winner team: Cash Prize ₹ 1100/- Trophy and Certificate
- Runner-up team: Cash Prize ₹ 500/- Trophy and Certificate.

Slogan Writing
General rules
- Any student pursuing any graduation or post-graduation course is eligible.
- Multiple Participations is allowed from an institution.
- Theme for the Competition shall be declared on the spot.
- The slogan should not be copied from any online sources, Journals, Conferences. If found, directly will be eliminated from the competition.
- All participants must provide a slogan relevant to the theme of the competition in no more than 30 words.
- Slogan should be typed in English and Hindi and be presented on A3 size paper.
- Time Limit: 1Hour.

Essay Writing
General Rules
- The Board of judges shall provide topic of the essay at the venue of the competition.
- The contestants shall be given two (2) hours to develop the composition.
- The contestants shall be provided with aassigned Codes. They are prohibited to write their names and the University they are representing.
- No printed materials, electronic gadgets, or storage devices shall be utilized.
- The contestants are prohibited to wear their university uniform or any symbol/s (e.g. ID lanyard) that mark distinction of their respective university.
- The result of the contest shall be declared immediately after the judges have finished rating the contestants’ manuscripts.
- The judge’s decision shall be final.
