The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. It is a Deemed to be University.
About the Project
TATA Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) invites applications for the job role of Legal Researcher. This is a seven-month project titled “Media Landscape of Child Sexual Abuse Cases”.

Required Qualification and Experience
- LLB Graduate or Master’s degree in Social Sciences with at least 60% or an equivalent grade of a point.
- The candidate must have a minimum of three years of work experience of relevant work.
Desired Qualification and Experience
- Good knowledge of laws, legal processes, and the criminal justice system.
- Good knowledge of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (PoCSO Act, 2012).
- Excellent research skills with the ability to handle quantitative and qualitative data
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
- Experience in working with research software like SPSS, and ATLAS.ti, NVivo, etc.
